why can’t tumblr just you know. Give people OPTIONS whether or not they want these changes. Or at least ask if the users would like this and that new feature / update, and a chance to say what exactly should be improved, without being ignored.

It’s all very well people saying ‘well if you don’t like it, don’t use it’ but the fact is, we used to like it. It’s why we continued using it. There isn’t another place on the web where we can gather and interact quite like this.
I’m curious as to who puts these ideas forward and whether they even test them out on current users before administering to the masses because, considering the amount I personally use this site (and a lot of others), we’re not being offered that choice or given even a simple questionnaire to fill out.
It’s impossible to request anything because these requests are ignored :/ And unfortunately we’re all so engaged with this site (I won’t term it as dependency though it’s close) that we aren’t willing to give up in protest. We simply put up with it because this is the best we’re going to get :|
